“Life is an ever-flowing process and somewhere on that path, some unpleasant things will pop up.” ...and that's okay! The key to managing through those tough moments is balance, which can be effectively achieved through the practices of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. DBT’s main goal is to create a life worth living for yourself. Dialectics, in essence, suggests that opposites can both be true at the same time: that you are doing the best you can, AND can still try harder, that you can feel stuck while ALSO making progress. WMC therapists and their clients work in tandem to harness the power of behavioral change to move you closer to your goals, whatever they may be.
DBT is ideal for anyone who struggles with Borderline Personality Disorder, Substance Abuse, Eating Disorders, self-harm, and impulsivity such as risky sexual behavior, shoplifting, and aggression. Through the use of genuine support and sincere validation, WMC works closely with each client to ensure their personalized goals are being met. It is the DBT belief, and WMC’s personal style, to view the relationship between client and clinician as equal partners in your journey. As if both are in a row boat, rowing in sync towards your goals!
Concierge therapy is an exclusive service that is offered to a limited number of clients at a time; this type of model allows WMC to work closely with clients and provide high-quality care and allows clients to access numerous perks that traditional therapy does not afford. Some of these perks include individualized treatment planning. WMC works hard to understand that no one client's concerns are the same and therefore never takes a “one size fits all” approach. Because WMC practices Teletherapy, clients have the flexibility to have session around their schedule. Also, with WMC you will be provided with more quality clinical time. A typical therapy session is 45 minutes. However, at WMC, we provide full 60-minute sessions. We strive to work closely and collaborate with a client's treatment team, including their psychiatrist, sober coach, or physician in order to approach treatment from multiple modalities & disciplines for effective, long-lasting results. Lastly, clients are provided access to their therapist directly. As a way to provide phone-coaching and make sure that the skills learned in sessions are also being applied in real time, clients are encouraged to reach out to their therapist by phone when extra support is needed.
