Life can feel overwhelming, especially when emotions feel intense or patterns keep repeating in ways that are hard to change. At Wise Mind Counseling, we use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you better understand your emotions, build practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. Our goal is to support you in building a life that feels more balanced, stable, and truly your own.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is at the core of the work we do. At its foundation is the idea that two things can be true at the same time. You are doing the best you can, and you can still grow. You can feel stuck and still move forward. Our therapists work alongside you, helping you apply these skills in real, tangible ways so you can move closer to the life you want.
DBT can be especially helpful for individuals navigating borderline personality disorder, substance use, eating disorders, self-harm, and impulsive behaviors. Through genuine support and consistent validation, we tailor treatment to your specific needs and goals. We view therapy as a collaborative process, where you and your clinician work as partners, moving forward together.
We also offer a concierge-style model of care, allowing us to work more closely with a smaller number of clients. This means more individualized treatment, greater flexibility in scheduling, and a deeper level of support. Sessions are a full 60 minutes, with extended 90-minute sessions available when needed, giving you the time and space you deserve.
We collaborate with your broader care team when appropriate to ensure well-rounded, effective treatment. Clients also have access to their therapist between sessions for brief support and guidance, helping you apply skills in real time when it matters most. Our goal is not just to help you understand these tools, but to actually use them in your day-to-day life.
