Hello! I'm Sarah

Hello! My name is Sarah Frey. And that little white fluff ball is Jake! Allow me to tell you a little about myself. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and I have a passion for working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and everyday life stressors. I also work with adult adoptees facing identity conflicts and interpersonal conflicts. I use approaches that are all about you, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, of course. I firmly believe that the therapeutic process should be collaborative and holistic. The right therapist should be a good fit. I am a solution-focused therapist and look forward to the opportunity to help you reach your goals.

My Story

A true East Coaster at heart, Sarah grew up in Baltimore, where most of her family still resides. She made her way to the West Coast for 5 years before realizing the Big Apple was where she truly wanted to be. She has been here for the last 6 years and has settled into dog mom life. Early on in life, Sarah experienced a great loss that introduced her to therapy and her love for mental health only grew from there.

Sarah obtained both her Undergraduate and Graduate degree from Southern New Hampshire University. She holds a BA in Psychology with a concentration on Mental Health and a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Since grief was her first introduction to therapy, she also is a Certified Grief Counselor.

Sarah can be found following her dog Jake wherever he takes her wearing a sweatshirt with some quote about mental health on it. She is enthusiastic about her work and continues to explore new ways of helping others.
